WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?
Children, Youth & Family Programs
Concerned about how your partner’s abuse has affected your children? Call the Women’s Centre at 604-892-5748 (Squamish) or 604-935-8534 (Whistler) to talk with a Children’s Counsellor. We provide individual and group counselling for children and youth ages 3-18 that have experienced conflict and/or abuse in the home. The children’s counsellor will create an opportunity for your child to cope with traumatic events in his/her life in a safe, confidential and nurturing environment. Your child will be supported to express feelings in healthy ways, safety plan, and manage worry and anxiety through art, play and discussion.

Support workers at the Transition House and Women Centre are available to provide information, referrals, emotional support and practical assistance to support you in the transition.
