What Are My Options?
If you are in need of emergency shelter, Pearl’s Place Transition House (Squamish) and Pearl’s Safe Home (Pemberton) provide short term, safe and secure housing and confidential support for women with or without children who are leaving an abusive relationship. Food and basic necessities are provided.
Call our 24 Hour Crisis Line 1-877-890-5711 to access the Transition House or Safe Home. You can also call the crisis line for phone support as you explore your options.
WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?
Children, Youth & Family Programs
Concerned about how your partner’s abuse has affected your children? Call the Women’s Centre at 604-892-5748 (Squamish) or 604-935-8534 (Whistler) to talk with a Children’s Counsellor. We provide individual and group counselling for children and youth ages 3-18 that have experienced conflict and/or abuse in the home. The children’s counsellor will create an opportunity for your child to cope with traumatic events in his/her life in a safe, confidential and nurturing environment. Your child will be supported to express feelings in healthy ways, safety plan, and manage worry and anxiety through art, play and discussion.
SUPPORT WORKERS – HOW WE CAN HELP
Support workers at the Transition House and Women Centre are available to provide information, referrals, emotional support and practical assistance to support you in the transition. We can help by assisting you to secure safe housing, find employment or apply for income assistance and connect you with resources to navigate the legal system.

Women’s Counselling: Counselling and support for women who are experiencing or who have experienced sexual assault, abuse, violence in a relationship, or childhood abuse or violence.
