The first ever TEDxSquamishWomen event is taking place at the Squamish Adventure Centre on Thursday, December 5 from 6:30–9:00 pm. This event will broadcast the live stream of TEDWomen from San Francisco, California and feature three live speakers.
TEDWomen first examined how women and girls are reshaping the future in 2010. Now, TEDWomen celebrates invention in all its forms. Not just technology and things, but also solutions to poverty; approaches to peacemaking; expressions of art, and at times, our own lives.
Tickets to TEDxSquamishWomen are $20 and available online at http://tedxsquamishwomen.eventbrite.ca or in person at the Howe Sound Women’s Centre located at 38021 Third Avenue in Squamish. Those interested in applying to speak are encouraged to apply online at www.tedxsquamish.com. Speakers who applied to present at TEDxSquamish will automatically be considered to present at TEDxSquamishWomen.
